St. Alban's Child Enrichment Center
St. Albans Child Enrichment Center is an early childhood education center that provides services to children enrolled in our Head Start, Voluntary Pre-Kindergarten, and Infant and Toddler Programs. St. Albans prides itself in providing quality and evidenced based services to children in the community since 1949. Over the past 63 years, our highly qualified staff has helped over 10,000 children and families gain access to needed educational, health, nutritional, disability, mental health, and social services. These services have enable families to be better able to care for their needs and the needs of their children. Many of our students have gone on to enriching lives and our alumni’s have ranged from astronauts to professional athletes, judges, doctors, and lawyers. For the 2012-13 school year, St. Albans enrolled 170 Head Start Students ages 3-5 and 22 Infants and Toddlers ages 1-3.
The mission of St. Alban's Child Enrichment Center is to provide courteous, convenient, comprehensive and quality services for children and families. Our vision for this school year is to promote school readiness by engaging in high quality learning activities aimed at increasing children's early literacy, science, technology, engineering, and math skills. St. Albans currently houses two childcare facilities in Coconut Grove and South Miami. The Coconut Grove facility is housed at the center of the West Grove facility which is home to predominantly African American, Hispanic, and Low-Income Families. Our South Miami center is situated at the center of the South Miami Neighborhood Revitalization Strategy Area which is home to a large low-income community in the City of South Miami.
